Phil Cartmell - Chairman

Phil Cartmell is currently Executive Chairman of Corac Group plc, a technology business which develops compressors and electronics for the Oil and Gas industry. He is also a non-executive director of CSF Group plc, which provides data centre infrastructure in South East Asia. He was Chief Executive of VEGA Group PLC from 2001 to 2008. VEGA was a professional services business providing consulting, project management and implementation services. Phil Cartmell led the turnaround of the business and its successful disposal in 2008.
Heath Davies - CEO

Heath Davies has substantial experience in the management and development of technology businesses. Between 2002 and December 2010 he worked for Sword Group, an international software and services business headquartered and listed in France. He was Joint Chief Executive from 2008 to 2010 and COO from 2004 to 2007, having previously been Operations Director, a Business Unit Director and Sales and Marketing Director. The Sword Group was founded in 2000 and operates a portfolio of businesses which mainly address horizontal technologies providing customer relationship management and enterprise content management in the banking, insurance and finance sectors. Heath Davies led its software strategy, which delivered substantial international growth, and its successful acquisition program. In 2010 Sword Group achieved revenue of €185m and earnings before interest and tax of €34m. He joined the Sword group in 2002 when it acquired Text Solutions, where he was Operations Director and where he worked from 1996. His previous experience was in sales and marketing, product development and project management.
Guy Millward - Group Finance Director

Guy joined Alterian from Morse plc where he was Group Finance Director from July 2009 until its acquisition by 2e2. Prior to Morse he was at Kewill plc for over 9 years where he was the Group Finance Director and prior to that at an IT division of GE for 7 years where he was, amongst other roles, UK Finance Director. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young and has spent the majority of his career within the IT industry.
Alastair Gordon - Non-executive Director
Appointed April 2010
Appointed to the Board in April 2010, Alastair was CFO of SDL plc, a translation software and services company, for ten years until 2008 and remained on the Board until early 2010. Prior to that, he spent ten years with Berisford plc which included three years as CFO for the US operations. His early career was spent as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen. Alastair is also non-executive director of Strategic Thought plc, a business focused on enterprise risk software solutions.
Christopher Humphrey - Non-executive Director

Christopher is the CEO of Anite plc, a global supplier of software and solutions for mobile device and network testing systems and travel markets. He joined the Board of Anite in February 2003 as Group Finance Director and was appointed Chief Executive of the Company on 31 December 2008. Prior to Anite, he held senior positions in finance at Conoco, Eurotherm International plc and Critchley Group plc.
