When was Alterian founded?
Alterian was founded by David Eldridge, Mike Talbot and Tim McCarthy in 1997. All three founders remain with the company today. You can read more about them on our Board of Directors page.

Who are Alterian's partners?
Alterian was founded on the premise of establishing relationships with and then working closely with partners. Our ‘partner ecosystem’ comprises most of the top names in each partner sector (Agencies, Marketing Services Providers and Systems Integrators), with the majority of any “top ten” list appearing on our Partner lists as well. Our partners are based around the world.
As well as partners, Alterian also sells software, training and consultancy direct to the end customers. We have offices round the world which cover all our active territories – UK, Continental Europe, The Americas, India and Asia-Pacific.
What are our solutions?
Alterian develops and markets a number of software solutions which help marketers and non-technical users bring together the people, processes and applications which have traditionally been autonomous of each other. We believe that marketing should be an integrated process, driven by analytically-led insight, so our software provides users with the tools to understand and delve deep into their marketing data, then use it to develop, target and deploy focused campaigns. By putting the tools in the hands of the marketing or business user, IT no longer have to undertake time-consuming and resource-intensive data mining or report-generating tasks, often across multiple legacy systems.

Who are the company's competitors?
Alterian has competition in a variety of sectors due to its wide-ranging solutions portfolio. Our solution specific competitors range from the specialist email providers such as Silverpop and dotmailer and the enterprise content management vendors like Sitecore and Interwoven; to the enterprise marketing management vendors such as Unica and Aprimo.
However, none of our competitors can offer the entire breadth of capability and product integration, the scale of our partner ecosystem or the powerful business user analytics and usability that we do, which sets us apart.

You can buy Alterian shares via any registered stockbroker or broking service. You cannot buy them directly from us. When does Alterian report its results?
Alterian publishes its annual results at the end of its full financial year (audited) and its half year (unaudited). Our full financial year ends on 31st March and the half year on 30th September. Results are published as soon as they are available after those dates on our Results pages.
When and where is the Alterian Annual General Meeting?
The 2011 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at our Bristol headquarters on Thursday 14th July.
