The latest AMS and Engine releases introduce new options for deployment of the Alterian Marketing Suite, allowing secure multi-tenant systems, hosted on one piece of hardware, as well as a new range of administrative functionality relevant to both single client and multi-tenant systems. Starting with a blank machine, this course guides delegates through the complete installation of the AMS Suite, followed by the set up of a client and server environment, an overview of all possible topologies, and extensive troubleshooting tips.
Day 2 is all about configuration, like editing homepages, limiting specific application views based on roles, planning of housekeeping and backup strategies, and introduces the new scalability options in Engine 4.0 and 4.1 (covered in more depth by the Performance and Scalability course). There has been a significant change in application architecture in this release, and therefore this new version of the installation and administration course is a must for all support and administrative staff alike.
