Delegates for this course have completed the AMS Orientation and the AMS Fundamentals course.
One of the first requirements after installing the Alterian Suite is the loading of data. This course is split into two sessions. The morning session covers data loading: delegates learn how to write a load script and then use their own scripts to load a number of data files in a variety of different file formats. The afternoon session is devoted to the engineering and manipulation of data from iLoader.
The combination of both sessions allows the loading of data into the Alterian Engine and its subsequent manipulation to create a robust and useful database that includes aggregation, expression, and decode fields. The course also discusses the various techniques for building and rebuilding a database within a production environment.
