Delegates should have prior experience developing websites with a CMS, have a working knowledge of ASP.NET 2.0 concepts as master pages and code behind and preferably be experienced C# developers (ample experience with another object oriented programming language would also be sufficient).
Objectives
The objective of this five day course is to prepare web developers for building websites in ACM. If they wish, delegates can take the Certificate Exam at the end of the course.
Program
The course starts with a three day program that covers the core concepts of ACM-p. Delegates learn how to set up and configure websites in ACM-p. They do so by building their own website in the CMS. In the process, they use all products that are part of the CMS, such as the Content Rules Console, the ACM Web Client and the ACM Smart Client.
The last two days of the course are spent writing (ASP.NET) templates for the presentation of the content stored in the CMS. Delegates study and use the extensive ACM API, learn how to use the ACM Providers to speed up their development work and explore the pre-built components that come with the ACM-p sample site.
