Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word is preferential, but all attendees must be able to operate a mouse and keyboard.
General
This is a non-technical course to ease attendees into the Alterian CMC editing environment. The course is designed to provide attendees with a good foundation of the CMC and features hands-on practical sessions so that you can quickly get to grips with the software.
Objective
By the end of this course attendees will be able to use the CMC Editor application for:
- Creating and managing tables
- Creating links to websites, pages and documents/files
- Automatically creating page content by importing Word & Excel documents
- Modifying page properties
- Performing an accessibility check on web pages
- Creating a site map
- Sharing content from one page to another
- Creating a list of scrolling news
- Submitting and approving web pages
The course is heavily workshop based with delegates learning by completing a series of activities designed to emulate tasks typical of a content contributor’s role.
Audience
This course is for all users who, in any way, contribute content to the web site and for those tasked with approving content. It is also recommended to all attendees wishing to progress on to more challenging courses.
