Established in 1991, Yomego is one of Europe’s longest running social media agencies, working with clients such as MTV, Durex, Ladbrokes, Vodafone and the BBC. Based in London and Glasgow, the team applies its strategic and creative expertise to develop engaging experiences for brands, advising on what type of activity is best and building virtual worlds, user generated content platforms or bespoke applications.
Yomego is using the SMR service to help Durex form its overall marketing strategy – not just its social strategy. Monitoring globally for the multi-national brand is uncovering regional differences in attitudes towards sexual health, with the findings applied at a local level. By listening to what consumers’ reactions are to campaigns in traditional channels, Yomego is now able to show the brand social media feedback which feeds in to the overall marketing approach. Durex’s recent UK TV campaign, for example, was very different to anything it had done before, the way it interacted with viewers partly shaped by the findings of social media monitoring.
