The site was initially managed as a hand-coded website and updating content required the skills of an increasingly overburdened web development team, which eventually led to difficulties in getting content quickly published to the website.

Home Office needed to find a solution and discovered that the right content management system could free up their web team by giving publishing rights to specific policy departments.

Home Office's solution was to adopt Alterian Content Manager as their web content management system, which provided the technical security and scalability that the sensitive nature of Home Office's information required.
