Make it Personalized
Engagement over the web is all about moving away from the "one size fits all" brochureware experience for visitors. If a visitor is telling you something, you really ought to listen and people are telling you stuff all of the time by the way they behave online.
Dynamic page assembly
One of the primary advantages of the delivery model used by Alterian Content Manager (ACM) is the ability to generate pages dynamically based on context; for example the interests of visitor that is viewing the page.
As well as remembering you, the ability to build a page from content components mean that a page can be delivered based on little more than what that visitor has done during that session, delivering pages built from content that is relevant to the interests the visitor has shown during this one session.
Managing profiles
ACM enables you to manage your user community and their profiles and includes such functionality as user self registration, groups (that they can opt in and out of) and language preference. These users can then be matched with the way you have classified your content through metadata or by dividing your content into areas of interest (called collections). Once these rules are created, you can serve content to your audience that will interest them or that you want to target them with.
Implicit personalization
In addition to profile based personalization, ACM is also capable of delivering a web experience based on a visitor's browsing behavior. Content can be targeted based on browsing across multiple sessions by using cookies or through our advanced WebJourney behavioral analytics solution.
"We implemented a global intranet rollout for a hotel chain that required staff members to get access to content that was relevant to them, their department, their job role, geography, served in the branding of the hotel that they worked and in their preferred local language"
