Pay-TV Executive Dave Shull Joins Alterian as Advisor to the Board

Alterian announced today that Dave Shull, an experienced PayTV, media and technology executive, has joined the Alterian board of advisors.  Shull will provide strategic guidance for Alterian’s product offering to the PayTV and digital media verticals as subscriber retention moves to the forefront of business strategy in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

With over 15 years of experience in executive roles across PayTV, OTT, and digital media, Shull most recently worked with Alterian during his tenure as CEO at TiVo. “The Alterian Real-Time CX Platform uses AI technology to help the PayTV market quickly identify subscribers that are likely to churn based on a customer’s varied activities – in real-time,” said Shull.  “While viewership of entertainment has increased during the pandemic, the economic pressure on subscribers is intense.  As a result, operators need to work proactively to make sure that every aspect of the customer experience is targeted to maintaining these high value subscribers.  Alterian’s track record of fast implementations and fast ROI will be critical to the industry as a whole.”
